Gouda Cookies!?

Thats right, gouda cookies!…

There are literally endless ways to enjoy gouda cheese, and this is a perfect example. Gouda cheese is an amazing resource for cooking and baking. It is good to break away from the traditional party snacks, and appetizers. Try these gouda cheese cookies we are sure you and your guests will enjoy them. 

  • 1 2/3 cups aged Gouda cheese, grated (200 g)
  • 1 cup flour (100 g)
  • 3 1/2 tbsp soft butter (50 g)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg


Start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Then place the ingredients in a food processor and use the blitz mode until you have a dough with a crumbly, doughy texture.

Shape into a flat disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Then let rest in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Prepare your work surface by sprinkling flour. Next roll the dough to a thickness around 3/32″ or 3mm. Cut out preferred shapes using a cookie cutter. Continue to roll and cut the dough until all is gone.

Next line a cookie sheet with parchment paper (preferably non-stick) place cookies on the sheet and bake for about ten minutes or until slightly golden. Remove them from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.

Follow with sheer pleasure from 30 gouda cheese cookies prepared in no time right at home!
